Loftie can’t find my WiFi NetworkUpdated 5 months ago
Loftie can only connect to a 2.4 GHz network and the Loftie app will only broadcast 2.4Ghz networks.
Most home routers broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. In some cases, these networks might coexist under the same name, but in other cases, they’ll be broadcast with two separate names. If you don’t see the name of the network you normally connect to, check to see if there is another network picked up by Loftie that might be your 2.4 GHz network.
We also recommend checking your router's management systems for any blocked devices-- including Loftie. Loftie's manufacturing ID may appear as "espressif" so be sure to double-check that it wasn't accidentally blocked by a member of your household. (Hey, it happens!)
If you absolutely don’t see your router in Loftie’s discovered networks, you should be able to update configuration options for your router (either via an app or web management portal). We recommend searching online for “connect 2.4ghz router name here” to find instructions for your specific setup. You can also reach out to your internet service provider for more info if you have a combination router/modem leased from them.
If you are unable to pinpoint why your network is not displayed, please contact us at [email protected] and include the following:
The serial number on the bottom of your Loftie
The make and model number of your router
The name of your internet service provider
